Just a very quick note today. There is a famous test that university students are given to see how easily they can be manipulated by words and in particular, the use of wording that makes somebody or some thing (a product perhaps or maybe a regulatory policy) sound really good, and worth voting for.
Hitler
The test compares the Founding Fathers of the United States with Hitler. When told ONLY SOME FACTS about each, most students chose HITLER (yes, the mad, stupid-looking, genocidal maniac) over the likes of Samuel Adams, Thomas Jefferson and George Washington.

My ONLY point today is this; whatever you do, DON’T vote (by purchasing OR checking a box on a machine or piece of paper) based on ONLY the information that the people SUPPLYING the information give you! If you do this enough times in your life, not only will you destroy YOUR life, you’ll destroy everybody else’s as well.
This single thing may be (making choices based on information supplied by the people who stand to gain the most) is what has created the world we are living in today. Perhaps the very LAST people who should be voted for are the very ones that WANT to be voted for.
