We are all looking for great original content for our sites, that’s a given. However, as an internet marketer, you should know that articles, written by other people are easily available on the many article directories, such as EZineArticles and ArticleBase.
The Problem With Articles
The problem with articles is that you have to use them EXACTLY the way they are, and you must include the author’s bio-box. This lessens YOUR impact as an expert in the field and also drops your Google page rank a little by bleeding some rank of to the author’s site.
Press releases are great free content for your websites. Whenever a company or individual wants to let the world know about an event, they release a press release.
Why Are Press Releases Better?
Press releases are significantly better because you can freely (legally) modify the content to your heart’s desire, making each release YOUR OWN!
This means that you aren’t losing any page rank to the author, because you don’t have to include the bio-box, and you are seen as the expert who wrote it. Somebody ELSE has done all the hard work for you by researching the topic, and you can simply come along, modify it slightly (or a lot) and then publish it.
