The nice people at Adobe have come up with a fantastic tool called Kuler.  Kuler offers EXPERT advice on color-choice by giving you an interactive webiste that is totally FREE of charge.  As you can see from the image above, you are offered “at a glance” color combinations that have been PROVEN to be liked by the majority of people.

Search Kuler

There is even an excellent SEARCH function.  This allows you to type in anything that comes to your mind and will bring back suggestions for color-combinations.  For example, if you type in the word “corporate”, then you will be show several “swatches” of colors that their experts KNOW are generally well liked when they are combined.

Hexadecimal

Not only will Kuler SUGGEST color schemes for you new website, it also gives you the exact Hexadecimal number for each color, so that you can easily reproduce the colors EXACTLY on your site.
