Who’d want to be helped by horrible SELFISH people???? Well ME actually…………….and YOU! Okay, what AM I going on about. Well, it’s like this. If you can begin to understand how people think, you can start to use that knowledge to make YOUR offer more appealing to them, and in the process make more money online.
ACTION
You want people, prospects, to take ACTION, to click one of your affiliate links, or to click on one of your own product links. That’s not asking much is it! YES, actually I’m afraid it is. People want an easy life, they don’t want to put forth effort. That’s why people like YOU who DO take action all the time, EVERY day, to move towards your goals WILL be successful.
RARE
You are rare you see. Most people will NOT take action. They’ll watch TV, they’ll read a magazine, they’ll chat with friends, they MIGHT take a vacation oversees one day, but most people will do NOTHING to improve their lives.
THAT’S THE GOVERNMENT’S JOB, RIGHT?
No, WRONG. As YOU know, your life is your responsibility. Any country’s Government should be there to protect you from OTHER people, nothing else. They’re job is NOT to protect you from yourself or your own lack of ability or your own lack of motivation to improve your life.
MOTIVATE THEM!
So, what MOTIVATES people to take action? Money? Yes, that’s ONE motivator, but it’s not really significant, because money in and of itself is nothing. It MAY be paper, but mostly it’s not even that. Nowadays it’s just digits on a computer. It’s what money can DO for people that makes money important.
So what CAN money do for you, apart from get you Sports Cars and Mansions and clothes and yachts? Well, the very fact that things like this are created, tells us a lot. Fast cars and big houses aren’t what people NEED at all, they are things that people WANT. A $20,000 car will get you to a place just as well as a $200,000 car (maybe even better judging by the size of a Corvette’s trunk!).
WHAT DO PEOPLE REALLY WANT?
Let’s cut to the chase. People want:
1. Recognition and respect.
2. Influence and power.
3. Security and safety.
These things above make people FEEL GOOD. They make them feel good about THEMSELVES. Though different people are motivated (to take ACTION) by these three things, they are motivated to different degrees by each of them. Some want power more than security. Some want security more than respect. Whatever it is, if you appeal to ALL THREE of these, you’ll DEFINITELY be able to motivate them.
Show people how dealing with you will BENEFIT them. Show them what a GREAT DEAL you are offering them. And, more importantly, show them what they will miss out on if they DON’T take action.
Monday I’ll talk about BENEFIT vs FEATURES. Most people really don’t ever understand the difference. I’ve been in sales and marketing in one form or another for over 20 years, and I’ve seen PROFESSIONAL marketers fail to recognize the difference. Seriously!
Until tomorrow, just remember that people care about THEMSELVES first and foremost, no matter what they may tell you, or indeed, what they may honestly believe.
