Invest In Yourself

Okay, I guess you’ve figured-out by now that this guy is just being humorous (though I HAVE heard some horror stories about this kind of thing happening for REAL).

Learning

A couple of years ago, I took a very intensive internet marketing coaching program. It was  extremely well designed and presented (as it should be……….it cost my wife and I several thousand dollars!) and it really opened my eyes to literally hundreds of ways to get more people to visit my websites. As you know, visitors (traffic) can equate to sales and more money in your bank account!

It occurred to me that most people probably stop their education soon after they leave school. Yes, of course they go on to learn their trade (which is far too often little more than simple laboring), but that trade is typically learned within a few months, after which………nothing. No more education, no more studying, no more LEARNING.

Boring

This is a terrible shame really, because the only time we should stop learning is when we keel-over and die! Until then, learning should be a lifelong experience. Learning not only makes you more aware of the world around you, but it also makes you a far more rounded person, a more INTERESTING person.

One dimensional people are, let’s face it, quite dull, forever talking about only ONE subject; ANY one subject, be it skydiving or NASCAR racing can become quite tedious if that’s ALL the person knows anything about.

More Money

However, the MAIN reason I mention this is because lifelong learning makes it easier to make more money! With learning comes ability; the ability to think in wider terms and to create things (ebooks, audios, videos) that other people are willing to pay you for.

So, whenever you hesitate to spend money on learning, (and YES I did hesitate at the cost of the course I’m currently taking) try to think of it as an investment in your future. A small amount spent now could bring you thousands of dollars (or whatever currency you currently use) in the near future.

So, although this may be a cliche, INVEST IN YOURSELF FIRST!
