Making Money Online just got cheaper!  How? With a really excellent free tool called Web CEO.  Now I have no idea why it’s called Web ‘CEO’ rather than Web SEO, but I’m sure the makers have a good reason.

New

It’s actually not a single tool, but rather a suite of tools, and it has been around for several years now, but they’ve just released a new and very much improved version.  There is also a paid upgrade (of course there is, otherwise they’d go out of business!), but the freeware version is easily worth the money (it’s FREE, remember!).

What You Get

MAC Users

At nearly 28Mb, it’s quite a large program, and their new version, 7.7, is designed to work with Windows (including Vista) but here is their warning to MAC users:

Quote: “Mac OS X users with Intel-based systems can run Web CEO as a Windows application with the help of virtual machine software (e.g. VMware Fusion). Another option for Intel-based Mac users is to use dual booting, i.e. Mac OS X and Windows (Boot Camp utility assists in installing Windows XP or Windows Vista on Intel-based Macintosh computers).”

Note: Web CEO 7.xx and 8.0 versions do not support PowerPC-based Macs.” End of quote

Using Web CEO

Using Web CEO is very intuitive; when you open the program, the main screen shows each of the tools available in order of use (see above) and you will see that it all makes pretty good sense to use them in the order that they are arranged.

Upgrade

There are several upgraded versions, depending on what you need (and are prepared to pay), but the free version acts as a non-expiring free-trial and will do enough for somebody to get “into” SEO without spending any money at all.  If you need more later, you don’t have to get used to another program, you just go for an upgrade.
