Just a very quick post today, and it’s about your affiliate links.
Affiliate Links
Affiliate links and hoplinks (if you use clickbank, Commission Junction etc.) are very often the ugliest things on the planet and typically are about seven inches long. While this doesn’t affect how they work, they look cumbersome and some people, particularly aspiring internet marketers, see them as being somewhat unprofessional.
Get More Clicks
You might even suffer from fewer click-throughs simply because they don’t look as well constructed as some other people’s links. It’s a bit like buying two identical cars at identical prices, but from different showrooms; you’ll probably buy from the nicer showroom.
Shorten Those Links
To quickly and easily short your affiliate (or any other) links, just go to Tiny URL , copy and paste your affiliate link into the box, and the online software will automatically shorten it for you. The service is FREE, paid for by advertisers on the site.
If you’re a Tweeter, you’ll realize that whenever you post to Twitter, you only have 140 CHARACTERS (not words) in which to tell your followers what you’re doing. So, if you have a link to a great site that you would like them to take a look at (maybe even an affiliate link that is often VERY long) you can use TinyURL to shorten it significantly.
iFrame Generator
To go one step further, you can download the excellent and also FREE, iFrame Generator from Cenay Nailor’s website, which had a REALLY long URL………..so here’s the “Tiny URL” version of it:
It’s slightly more complex to use, but it has several advantages over the “Tiny URL” way of doing it. iFrame Generator also CLOAKS your link, so nobody ever knows you’re clickbank ID.
Luke.
If this helped you, please feel free to buy me a cup of coffee.......leaded of course!!!
