How To Save Time Searching With Google

Have you ever spent any time figuring out exactly how MUCH time you waste searching for something in Google?  I did last week.  It scared the PANTS off of me! I sometimes make the same searches week after week, because I want to know when something new has happened about the subject I’m interested in learning about.

In just one week, I spent 7 HOURS on Google looking for assorted things.  That’s nearly a day’s work pretty much down the drain.  Guess what I did then?  I spent another hour on Google.

THIS time, I wasn’t wasting my time.  You see, because I’d frightened myself so much with my little experiment, I realized I HAD to come up with a way to reclaim that extra day (well, 7 hours anyway).  Though I DO like “surfing the web” (I haven’t heard that term used in YEARS!!) Wouldn’t you rather have somebody do the searching for you?  I would.  But then you’d have to pay them, right? WRONG!

Because you don’t have to pay Google, and it’s those nice people at Google who have created probably the biggest time saver since the turn of the millennium and they are letting you have it FREE!

Enter Google Alerts

Google Alerts is a new service that allows you to save YOUR valuable time by entering the term you are looking for in box.  Google will then email YOU (or RSS Feed if you prefer) whenever something is added to their index that exactly matches your search term.  You can choose to be emailed daily, weekly or exactly the moment it’s added to their index.
