There’s a new(ish) search tool from Google called Search-based keyword tool.
WHAT’S THE DIFFERENCE?
The main difference between the Search-based Keyword Tool and the standard Google Keyword Tool is that the new tool generates keyword ideas based on your website, and identifies those currently NOT being used in your AdWords account. This means that it will give you keyword ideas that you aren’t currently using.
IS THAT ALL?
Additionally, the Search-based Keyword Tool provides more detailed data for each keyword, such as category information. It also suggests a bid price that will most likely place the ad in the top three spots of a search results page. Both tools offer the option of browsing all keywords across every category.
You may also notice that some of the data (e.g. the monthly search volume) may vary slightly between the two tools, which is due to different methods of calculation.
DOES IT CHECK FOR DELETED KEYWORDS ALREADY IN MY ADWORDS ACCOUNT?
Before generating any suggestions, the tool checks for any deleted or paused words in your AdWords account to ensure that duplicates are excluded.
DOES IT GUARANTEE RESULTS?
No chance!!!! The Search-based Keyword Tool isn’t guaranteed to produce keywords that will improve your AdWords campaign’s performance. Instead, using it can help you identify new keyword ideas, which may represent new opportunities for your business.
Hope this helps you understand the difference between these two excellent tools. Here’s the link to it again:
