For those of you who like making money online by creating eEBooks, White Papers or Reports and selling them, I have some great news for you.
Microsoft Word pdf Add-In
If you have already tried to create an EBook using Microsoft word and have been terribly disappointed when you realized that Word COULDN’T create pdf’s, there’s some great news. Microsoft has FINALLY created and are giving away FREE a nice little add-in that now gives additional functionality to Word 2007 by allowing you to ‘Save As’ a pdf file.
I Can Get Free PDF Software Already; Who Needs Microsoft’s Version?
Not only that, but the hyperlinks you embed (your affiliate links perhaps or links to your other websites?) can be anchored with any text of your choice; not possible in many other pdf creation software, unless your’e prepared to pay a lot of money for Adobe PDF Professional
I know that they have dragged their heels on this, but in their defense, they HAVE had problems. They had to have a good reason to create this and give it awsay.
What Reason?
The best reason ever of course! Happiness!!! No, I’m kidding, MONEY! They have wanted to have their own proprietary version of Adobe’s now ubiquitous pdf format. So, to do this, they decided (because they had little choice) to create the add-in that could publish pdf format AND their new XPS format.
XPS?
What is XPS? It stands for XML Paper Specification, the XML in turn standing for Extensible Markup Language.
Will This Dislodge Adobe And Its Free Reader?
In the short term no. In the long term? Well, I’ve seen too many so-called “cornered markets” that have been taken over by better products and better companies (e.g. GM, Ford, Chrysler), so your guess is as good as mine. If they can get other companies to include their new software and it’s own reader, who know what will happen.
The main thing to remember is, you can now EASILY save your Word 2007 documents to pdf or XPS, both of which do a fine job of producing great looking and unchangeable text and image documents, that is, your ebooks!
Here’s the link to it:
