“Economic downturn” is a term you’ll be hearing a lot over the coming months. It’s media-speak for “A RECESSION, though they aren’t meant to say that of course. In MY opinion, we’re very close to full blow depression………..but that’s just my OPINION.
It became very clear to me last week while I was house hunting. HALF of the properties my wife and I looked at were foreclosures! How many did we see? Oh, about 100………..yes, really. My wife is very fussy…..erm, I mean ‘particular’ when it comes to her “nest”. So, about 50 houses were being repossessed by the banks that WE saw. In the town we are moving to, there are currently over 25,000 foreclosures. That’s staggering by any standard.
Did this make a difference to our choice of house? Well, we WERE tempted by some good deals of course, but we ended up with a smaller house in a great location, in a very nice neighborhood.
Of the 50 foreclosed houses, they were ALL torn-up. Their former owners (by which I mean mortgage-owners) had left their dream-homes and had taken EVERYTHING they could with them.
Light-fittings had been removed, carpets left dirty, (actually, nothing was clean in any of them), the places were just shells, with nothing remotely looking like the comfortable homes that they no doubt once were. I joked to my wife that I was surprised that they hadn’t scraped the paint off the walls too!
How can this help you? Well, being aware of the economic situation in a country is always advantageous. Many people have become wealthy by acting on this kind of knowledge. YOU can take advantage of this knowledge by supplying information to people in times like this. What kind of information? Well, how about “How To Survive The Economic Downturn” in pdf or audio format?
Just an idea of course, but the main thing for you to understand is that in ANY economic climate, you CAN make money; just supply what people currently want. In good financial times, people are less likely to be looking for ways to make money, but in times like these, many people are losing their jobs and homes so they WILL be looking for help.
HELP THEM to make a living, and make some money for yourself in the process too.
Remember, study and learn, then take ACTION. Here are some ideas to get you started.
